Cognac Camus XO Elegance comes in a unique 70 cl decanter, the cognac is at 40% ABV. The blend of this XO consists of eaux-de-vie from severals Crus, also Borderies - the Camus signature.
For their XO Elegance expression, Camus use eaux-de-vie from all of Cognac's six crus to craft a luxurious, impressive brandy (Borderies, Petite Champagne, Bons Bois, Grande Champagne, Fins Bois, Bois à Terroirs). Not only that, it's all very well aged, resulting in plentiful notes of vanilla, ripe fruit and oak. Long aging in cool, damp cellars ensures that each barrel gains a perfect level of maturity. This is a complex Cognac with exceptional balance between fruit and oak. Excellent as a postprandial drink...
Nose: Floral at first, slowly developing rich dark fruit elements.
Palate: Continued fruit dominated the palate, supported by a subtle nuttiness.
Finish: Vanilla, brandied cherries and the return of the floral touches.
